Default Ring of Fire Mission is TOO HARD.

I have tried 30 times now, and it's getting really boreing...
People say they have done it with only henchmen, well thats great, for them.. But I can't do it. And I have tried over 20 times now with a real party, and we all die..

I just want to skip the mission alltogheter please.. sick and tired of it, want to see more of the game, not staying in 1 placee for 200000 hours...

Just stay with it... It sucks... but you'll find that magical group that gets through... Alternatively, ask your guild to help you... If you don't have a guild, find a guild that will help you and join them... Find someone who knows the mission, follow their instructions, and they will get you through...

There is no way to skip the mission that I am aware of, in the game...

Have fun...

Take your time in mission, don't rush anywhere. Move along the walls, when possible to avoid aggroing several groups of mobs at the same time. Try frontal assault, instead of going around the back?

Oh, and almost forgot this one: DON'T STAND IN LAVA! And try not to let henchmen stand there either.

And one more thing. Let casters in party to regen their energy.

So skip it. There's no more of the game to see anyway. It's the last major climate you go to, so there's nothing interesting afterwards except a few more crummy cinematics. There's no special reward, no cool badge, no extra loot for completing it. Don't bother.

***********SPOILERS***********

Use winter (ranger spirit) to turn fire damage cold (lessens the damage your party takes).
Get a good protection monk aswell as healers.
Get good tanks who won't aggro too much.
Stay on one target and take your time.

***END SPOILERS***

I have had two good groups on that mission and in one of them, nobody died.
Don't give up. It's a great feeling to finish a story that you have spent so much time on.
You get a great sense of accomplishment and enjoyment from it.

Good luck!!

Use henchies and go through the front gate. Unless you're a water elementalist, your henchies will get ripped apart if you go through the volcano.

I did it with my W/N with a full party of henchies. If you are a monk or monk secondary, it should be totally doable with rebirth.

Here's a few tips:
1. When you get to the 2nd Ether Seal with the bonus close by, try to wait until the ettins attack the mursaat. The best method is to run past and trigger the cinematic, because if the monk boss is there, you won't be able to beat it with henchies.

2. Make sure you have a longbow for pulling/sniping. When you're near the Mursaat Gate, you can go on the right side cliff and snipe the rightmost ether seal.

3. When you pull Mursaat, just edge towards them with your longbow and pull off a hit. This will cause Stefan and Devona to chase after them. Now turn around and RUN away at full speed. If Stefan and Devona have not engaged them yet, they'll run away too. If you did it right, the Mursaat will chase after Devona and Stefan and pull away so you can kill them in isolation.

4. If you're finding yourself being attacked by 2 groups, RUN. Let Stefan and Devona (maybe even Mhenlo, he sometimes likes to stay really close to the melee) die. Once they're dead you can try pulling again. If you stay you'll die for sure.

If your trying with people, grab a ranger that has a longbow. Instead of taking the normal path, go straight through the front gate, its MUCH easier. Simply pull the 2 patrols far out from the ether seals, kill them. Then take down the seals 1 at a time, starting with the towers, then the doors. Once inside the outpost or whatever its called, pull out the enemies, take out the 2 interior seals, pull out the boss, and your pretty much done.

It's not that bad, I did it with a couple members of my guild (one being a HAM---half-assed monk) and the other just a ranger who...shot arrows. He had a pecker though. Made a funny tank.) And the rest were henchmen. Only tried it once, didn't have a problem.

Maybe try henchmen again?

I find it funny how it says the volcano is a easier path ...

No, its not ... its DEATH.

As said, take the Gate ... its slower but compared to the Volcano of DOOM its easy.

1. Have your healers stand outside the mursatt towers, when you are low health move towards the outside so they can heal you, no energy = no heal
2. Two or three warriors that don't charge out alone and stay close with healing seed = win

Perhaps it's a show of your own skill eh... play it with henchies and beat it... i have with a ranger, and my elementalist...

Who plays with humans in pve anymore? I could have sworn that was a thing of the past.

It's not too hard if you kill the right monsters first... ahem, you also have to be good at pulling mobs... (Oh shux... things that show skills...)

Why does winter reduce damage? It's the same damage, except it's cold instead of fire?

I thought that Winter was good in these missions because so many of the mobs are weak against cold.

both are pretty equal. The imps are pretty easy with a balanced group (i..e take elementalists and at least 1 mesmer) as long as you get everyone to scatter when they cast meteor shower. Apart from that, it's a cakewalk.

Yes, Winter converts all elemental damage to cold. So meteor showers and the like cause massive cold dmg, and mobs here are weak against cold.

Winter reduces damage to you, IF you have frostbound armor or similar (frostbound armor for rangers give 115AL to cold). But since most dont, just forget about dmg reduction and consider winter as a form of damage enchancement.

And yes, go through the front gate and not the volcano. Make sure your caster and healers stay out of range of towers and its easy after that. I did it with 6(W,E,N,R,Mo,Mo)

This is so true and for most Missions or Quests.
So many times people run around without listening to those that have done it before.

Makes people think they are Teens (typical "experienced people are Idiots" attitude.)
